Leslie William Nielsen OC (11 February 1926 – 28 November 2010) was a Canadian actor and comedian. With a career spanning 60 years, he appeared in more than 100 films and 150 television programs, portraying more than 220 characters.

- He was given a Golden Palm Star on the Palm Springs, California, Walk of Stars in 1997.
- As a final part of the humor, he kept “Let ‘er rip” as his epitaph.
- Nielsen was admitted to Holy Cross Hospital, Fort Lauderdale, Florida in November 2010, and diagnosed with a severe case of pneumonia. On November 28, that year his nephew Doug Nielsen, told the CJOB radio station that Nielsen sadly passed away in his sleep around 5:30 pm EST surrounded by family and friends. His body was interred in Fort Lauderdale’s Evergreen Cemetery.
- In his free time, Leslie would often play golf. On the other hand, he was also quite the prankster and was mostly known for pranking people with a portable hand-controlled fart machine.
