Instant Star
Instant Star is a Canadian musical comedy-drama television series which aired from 15 September 2004 to 26 June 2008. The series stars Alexz Johnson as teenage singing competition winner Jude Harrison. The show chronicles Harrison's experience in the recording industry whilst focusing on character development.

- Alexz Johnson dyed her hair red upon landing the part of Jude Harrison. After the first season,she reverted back to her natural blonde color.
- Tyler Kyte is about 2 months older than Laura Vandervoort, even though on the show, Vandervoort's character, Sadie, is 2 years older than Kyte's character, Spiederman.
- Several songs written specifically for the show have been covered by famous artists. The most notable example is the Backstreet Boys' cover of "There's Us" which appeared on the season 2 soundtrack.
- Due to legal matters, Alexz Johnson was only able to record four songs each for the season 3 and 4 soundtracks. So although most of the songs are sung by Jude on the show, on the album they are covered by other artists. For example Kyle Riabko, who played Milo in season 4, sings "Live Like Music" on the album while Jude performs it on the show.
- Alexz Johnson is the only actress to appear in all 52 episodes.
