Secret Diary of a Call Girl is a British drama television series that aired from 27 September 2007 to 22 March 2011 on ITV2, based on the blog and books by the pseudonymous Belle de Jour. It stars Billie Piper as Belle, a high-end call girl in London.

- For the 2nd season. A body double was used for the nude scene, because of Bilie Piper's pregnancy.
- On 15 November 2009, the real Belle du Jour, whose memoirs were the basis for this series, revealed her true identity to be Dr Brooke Magnanti, a research scientist and former prostitute from Bristol.
- Future Doctor Who, Matt Smith, plays a man Belle meets in a wedding gift shop and subsequently brings home with her. This is unusual because he is not a paying customer.
- Belle du Jour's name was inspired by Belle de Jour (1967). The movie is about a prostitute played by Catherine Deneuve who also bears the name 'Belle de jour', which in French means 'beauty of the day', as opposed to 'Belle de nuit' which means 'beauty of the night'.
- Iddo Goldberg and Ashley Madekwe were a long-term couple trying production of the series and were married in June 2012.
