Savage Grace
Savage Grace is a 2007 drama film directed by Tom Kalin and written by Howard A. Rodman, based on the book Savage Grace by Natalie Robins and Steven M. L. Aronson. The story is based on the highly dysfunctional relationship between heiress and socialite Barbara Daly Baekeland and her son, Antony. The film stars Julianne Moore, Stephen Dillane, Eddie Redmayne, Elena Anaya, and Hugh Dancy.

- Eddie Redmayne and Julianne Moore both won Oscars for Leading Roles in the 87th Academy Awards. Redmayne won for portraying Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything (2014)_ and Moore for portraying Alice Howland in Still Alice (2014). In both films they played characters who suffered from debilitating disorders: Redmayne/Hawking dealing with ALS (or Lou Gehrig Disease) and Moore/Howland dealing with Alzheimer - this latter film had as one of its directors Richard Glatzer, who died of complications of ALS a few months after the movie's release.
- Sam Green, played in the film by Hugh Dancy, challenged the film's accuracy in an interview given to the Daily Mail (published 12 July 2008). He protested the representation of him as bisexual and denied that Barbara and Tony Baekeland's relationship was incestuous. He commenced legal action against the film-makers which was still unresolved at the time of his death in 2011. As a member of Andy Warhol's circle, he is also played in the film Factory Girl (2006).
- The castle that serves as the Baekelands' retreat in Mallorca is an 800-year-old castle in Spain, which is allegedly haunted by a ghost named Blanca.
- The two leads, Julianne Moore and Eddie Redmayne, later each won their first Academy Award in 2015, both for a leading role.
- The entire film was shot in Spain.
