Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Candace Against the Universe
Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Candace Against the Universe is a 2020 American animated musical science fiction comedy film based on the animated television series Phineas and Ferb, created by Dan Povenmire and Jeff "Swampy" Marsh. Directed by Bob Bowen, who co-wrote it with Povenmire, Marsh, and several other writers, it is the second film based on the series following Across the 2nd Dimension (2011). Set at some point during the summer depicted in the series and before the fourth season finale, "Last Day of Summer", the film follows Phineas and Ferb as they rescue their sister Candace and Dr. Doofenshmirtz's daughter Vanessa from the planet Feebla-Oot. However, Candace becomes tempted to stay on the planet when she is treated with respect by its people, not knowing that they harbor a dark secret which involves her presence.

Phineas: Does anyone else hear a strange, ominous tone when they look at that alien fortress-y thing?
(Ominous tone. Pan left and the tone stops)
Phineas: But only when I look directly at it. I can hear it when I look...
(Ominous tone)
Phineas: Yes, I have to...
Baljeet: Yes!
Isabella: Oh, yeah! Me, too!
Doofenshmirtz: Oh, yeah! It's like a low tone.
Baljeet: I wish we could study the science...
Buford: I don't hear anything. What are you guys talking about? You're freaking me out!
Phineas: (rolling his eyes, over Buford) I can hear it when I look... just directly at it.
Isabella: I've never seen anything like that before.
Phineas: Every time my eyes get near it.
(Beat)
Phineas: Alien planets are weird. Okay, let's go.
- Some characters that appeared on Phineas and Ferb and Milo Murphy's Law appear during the baseball game confrontation and the musical number "Us Against the Universe". These include Thaddeus and Thor, Jenny, Django, Coltrane, Irving, Esmeralda Poofenplotz, Mishti, Buck Buckerson, Rusty Britches, Lacie, Johnny, Trucker Ted and the Recurring Raccoon.
- The billboards in the stadium feature various callbacks to previous episodes, including the inexplicable Giant Floating Baby Head. In addition, several recurring and one-shot characters appear in the crowd.
- WILHELM SCREAM: When Buford plows one of the aliens with his canoe.
- The only payment Tiffany Haddish asked for for recording her part was a Perry the Platypus T-shirt. Since Disney no longer made those, Dan Povenmire and Jeff 'Swampy' Marsh personally hand-painted one for her.
- In 2019, it was announced that this film would be released on the Disney+ streaming service.
