  • Oxenbould has revealed that people have been surprised and amused to know that when he was 17 years old, he dropped Drama from his Year 12 schedule. He was not doing well at it as he was not good at theory, and the course was theatrical-based with him having almost no experience in that. He had been very busy too, due to filming, and when his turn came for his monologue, he was extremely under-prepared. However, Ed has pointed out that even though he never had formal training, he has felt that working on so many films with the finest actors was the best training he could ever get.
  • Ed has affirmed that when he landed a role in the American film Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day, he had to study with a dialect coach in order to replace his Australian accent with the American one. In the whole movie, Oxenbould only got to say 1 pair of words with the accent of his native language, that was “Thanks, mate.” Ed has disclosed that learning the foreign accent was not overly challenging, as he had watched a lot of American films and television shows. When the cameras were not rolling, Ed would go back to talking normally as an Aussie kid, and nobody had a problem following him.
  • He was brought up in Sydney, Australia.

Ed Oxenbould is known for his role in the film The Visit (2015) as Tyler.

He is also known for his role in the film Wildlife (2018) as Joe Brinson.
