- In June 2010, publication of pictures of Claudia in the German magazine Stern Fotografie led to accusations of racism and insensitivity. The pictures, taken in 2007 by Karl Lagerfeld, included one of her "blacked up" with dark foundation and an afro wig. Claudia's representatives responded to the accusations by stating that the pictures, which included others of her dressed as characters such as a secretary and Marie Antoinette, were intended to depict her as a variety of fantasy figures.
- Claudia has admitted that she's got so many clothes, she's run out of space to store them at her London and Suffolk homes, and has had to have a small helicopter hanger near her Suffolk home converted into storage for them.
