The Color of Magic
Terry Pratchett's The Colour of Magic is a fantasy-comedy two-part British television adaptation of the bestselling novels The Colour of Magic (1983) and The Light Fantastic (1986) by Terry Pratchett. The fantasy film was produced for Sky1 by The Mob, a small British studio, starring David Jason, Sean Astin, Tim Curry, and Christopher Lee as the voice of Death. Vadim Jean both adapted the screenplay from Pratchett's original novels, and served as director.

- Actor Richard da Costa (Luggage) is also the Librarian as an orangutan. He studied real orangutans in a zoo to learn how they moved.
- Both Sean Astin (Twoflower) and Sir David Jason (Rincewind) are long-term Pratchett fans. Jason named The Colour of Magic as his choice of favourite book of all time in the BBC's Big Read survey.
- The colors of the pattern on Twoflower's shirt aren't as garish as the description in the book, but they had to be chosen to avoid primary colors, or they'd have vanished in the blue-screen/green-screen sequences.
- Stephen Marcus, who plays Broadman the Bartender in this film, also plays Banjo in Hogfather (2006). And Nigel Planer plays Mr. Sideney in Hogfather and Arch Astronomer in Colour of Magic.
- Arthur White, who played Rerpf, Guildmaster in charge of Tourism, is the brother of David Jason, who plays Rincewind.
