Veer-Zaara
Veer-Zaara is a 2004 Indian Hindi-language epic romantic drama film directed and produced by Yash Chopra, from a screenplay written by his son Aditya Chopra. It stars Shah Rukh Khan and Preity Zinta as the eponymous star-crossed lovers: Veer Pratap Singh (Khan) is an Indian Air Force officer, and Zaara Hayaat Khan (Zinta) is the daughter of a Pakistani politician. Veer is imprisoned on false charges, and 22 years later, a young Pakistani lawyer, named Saamiya Siddiqui (Rani Mukerji), fights his case. Amitabh Bachchan, Hema Malini, Divya Dutta, Manoj Bajpayee, Boman Irani, Anupam Kher and Kirron Kher play supporting roles.

Veer Pratap Singh: That's an F-16 flying at the speed of 1200mph. When a plane tears through the skies, playing with the clouds, no one but a pilot can understand that feeling.
- Ajay Devgan was approached for the role which finally went to Manoj Bajpai.
- Dharmendra was kept in mind when the role of Chaudhary Sumer Singh was wrote. But Dharmendra has not had a good relationship with Yash Chopra in the past hence he rejected doing the film
- Karan Johar designed all of Shah Rukh Khan's costumes.
- One of the few Indian movies to officially release its original tunes of songs and background music.
- Director of photography Anil Mehta slipped a sepia tint into the film to give it a "golden oldies" mood, and to convey the feeling of nostalgia and memories in the film. This kind of cinematography was later copied by other filmmakers.
