Nash and Will Packer for Universal Television. The series aired on NBC from October 16 until December 25, 2015. On December 24, 2015, Truth Be Told was cancelled after one season.

- During his 2015 fall TV season preview on the radio program "Fresh Air," TV critic David Bianculli said this about the new network comedies: "Most of the comedies don't even come close to being funny. And one of them, NBC's 'Truth Be Told,' is so unfunny and repugnant, the only reason I single it out is to beg you not to watch it."
- This series returns star Mark-Paul Gosselaar to NBC, the network which aired his original breakout hit, Saved by the Bell (1989), 26 years before.
