The Whispers
The Whispers is an American science fiction drama television series created and co-executive produced by Soo Hugh with executive producers Steven Spielberg, Justin Falvey, Darryl Frank and Dawn Olmstead for ABC Studios. It is based loosely on the 1951 Ray Bradbury short story "Zero Hour" from The Illustrated Man. The pilot episode was ordered to series on May 8, 2014, and debuted on ABC on June 1, 2015. On October 19, 2015, ABC canceled the series after one season.

- Season 2 of "The Whispers" was up in the air for a long while. Not knowing if a season 2 would happen, the writers made an ending to season 1 that provides a conclusion, but leaves it open for another season if it were to happen. This show has since been cancelled.
- Based on Ray Bradbury's short story "Zero Hour" first published in his anthology "The Illustrated Man" (1951).
- Kristen Connolly replaced Brianna Brown as character Lena Lawrence when Brianna left the show due to creative reasons.
- Based on the short story "Zero Hour." A radio adaptation was broadcast on BBC Radio 4 on 14 June 2014 as part of the "Dangerous Visions" series.
- Although Brianna Brown starred in the pilot it was announced in June of 2014 that she would not be starring in the show once it began production on further episodes which would later start filming in July 2014.
