- It took 18 years for this sequel to be made, although Les Visiteurs 2 : Les Couloirs du Temps (1998) ended with a cliffhanger.
- Jean Reno is the only top billed actor in the trilogy that does not portray more than one character in every movie.
- This is the last movie of a trilogy started back in 1993. 23 years separate this movie and the first one. The first sequel was made 18 years before the second.
- In Spain the movies theatrical released was delayed from August 19th to September 2nd. There's some trailers on the internet with the August date at the end.
