The Stepfather
The Stepfather is a 2009 American psychological horror film directed by Nelson McCormick. It is a remake of the 1987 film of the same name which was loosely based on the crimes of mass murderer John List. The film stars Dylan Walsh, Sela Ward, Penn Badgley, Amber Heard and Jon Tenney.

- Terry O'Quinn, the star of The Stepfather (1987), was offered a cameo role in this film but he turned it down.
- A scene in the trailer in which a buzz saw swings back and forth mere inches away from a character's face was cut from the film for pacing reasons, but it had already been used in multiple advertising materials before it was trimmed from the final release of the film.
