The O.C.
The O.C. is an American teen drama television series created by Josh Schwartz that originally aired on Fox in the United States from August 5, 2003, to February 22, 2007, with a total of four seasons consisting of 92 episodes. The series title, "O.C.", is an initialism of Orange County, the location in Southern California in which the series is set.

- Ryan and Seth only hug a few times in the series.
- The character name Taylor Townsend is eerily similar to the neighboring towns mention in Bissinger's Friday Night Lights. One is Taylor, another is Townsend.
- To go out with a bang in the third season, the producers spread the word that one of five different leading characters would die in the last episode of the season. Rumors spread that they had actually shot all five deaths to avoid exposure of the truth about which character was dying. Whether or not all five death scenes were shot or not was never confirmed. However, Mischa Barton revealed it was her character that died on Access Hollywood an hour before the episode aired.
- In last season Kirsten turns 40, but Seth is 18 or maybe even 19 years old. That means Kirsten got pregnent when she was 20-21 years old. In the series she said that she met Sandy when she was 22, but Seth is obviously Sandy's child.
- In season four Ashley Benson and Janel Parish have small roles in one episode, "The Summer Bummer," both later went on to play leading roles and co-star in Pretty Little Liars.
