The Favorite
A Favorita (English: The Favorite) is a Brazilian telenovela produced and broadcast Rede Globo. It premiered 2 June 2008 to 17 January 2009 with a total number of episodes of 197. It is created by João Emanuel Carneiro and directed by Ricardo Waddington. It is also the first telenovela by the writer to air in the 9 pm timeslot.

- Before the plot twist, the names of Patricia Pillar and Cláudia Raia appear in random order in the opening sequence to avoid an eventual perception of each of the girls is the evil one. However, it is suggested by the black and white tones.
- Originally entitled "Karma", and later "Juízo Final".
- Fábio Assunção was originally cast as Dodi but dropped out and was replaced by Murilo Benício.
- Iran Malfitano was originally cast for only two episodes, but remained until the end after his character became popular.
- Jackson Antunes was attacked by an angry viewer of the series who associated him with his abusive character Leonardo. When assaulted, he was on crutches due to a stroke and was hospitalized for three days.
