- Tabrett Bethell and Andy Whitfield were stars of the TV shows "Legend of the Seeker" and "Spartacus: Blood and Sand", produced by Robert G. Tapert and Sam Raimi.
- Andy Whitfield's final acting role.
- Due to his non-Hodgkin lymphoma, Andy Whitfield's character Cameron was killed off half way through the movie by driving over a spike strip on the road leading to the facility and having a fatal accident.
- Although fictitious, the story was inspired by several true stories of child abduction.
