The Campaign
The Campaign is a 2012 American political satire comedy film directed by Jay Roach, written by Shawn Harwell and Chris Henchy and stars Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis as two North Carolinians vying for a seat in Congress. The film was released on August 10, 2012, by Warner Bros Pictures, to mixed reviews from critics.

Marty Huggins: Why?
Dylan Huggins: So I could see my farts glow.
- Zach Galifianakis based the character of Marty Huggins on his fictitious twin brother 'Seth Galifianakis', which he created and first performed in his 2006 DVD special Zach Galifianakis: Live at the Purple Onion (2006).
- Though Marty's campaign managers suggests a Chocolate Lab and a Golden Retriever as "American" dogs, the breeds originated in Canada and the UK, respectively.
- Cam is a member of the Democratic Party. Marty runs for Congress as a Republican.
- Marty is shown drinking a can of Cheerwine, a soda made in North Carolina and available only in the Southeastern United States.
- Note the the size of Cam Brady's US Flag lapel pin. As he begins to flounder in the polls the flag grows until it is at least 4 to 5 times larger than the original.
