The Book of the Three Hans
Jumong (Korean: 삼한지: 주몽 편) is an epic South Korean historical series that aired on MBC from 2006 to 2007 as the network's 45th anniversary special. Originally scheduled for 60 episodes, MBC extended it to 81 because of its popularity.

- Song Yun-Ah was turned down the role.
- The actor who played Jumong, Il-guk Song, also played Jumong's grandson, Muhyul, in another television drama titled "The Kingdom of the Wind" in 2008.
- MBC originally planned "Jumong" to be 60 episodes long; however, it extended the series to 81 episodes due to its overwhelming popularity.
- There was much controversy, when "Jumong" aired in Hong Kong, due to the translation of key words in the historical drama. Mainland China investors, who bought ATV, created doubt in its audience as to its impartiality to report the new. There was great debate between the governments of China and South Korea concerning the history of Goguryeo, (the kingdom established by the hero Jumong).
- Broadcast rights for Jumong had been sold to 9 countries by March 2006, including Japan, Mongolia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, and the Philippines. It also aired in Canada, North Korea, Tanzania, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Myanmar, Iran, the UK and the US.
