Steve Perry
Stephen Ray Perry (born January 22, 1949) is an American singer and songwriter. He is best known as the lead singer of the rock band Journey during their most commercially successful periods from 1977 to 1987, and again from 1995 to 1998. Perry also had a successful solo career between the mid-1980s and mid-1990s, made sporadic appearances in the 2000s, and returned to music full-time in 2018.

- Perry's 1984 music video "Foolish Heart" is unique in that it doesn't have a single editorial cut - a most unusual facet given the frenetic structure of music videos in general. Perry's video begins with a static camera, a long shot of a boomed mic situated in a hall lit by an overhead spotlight. Perry walks into the shot, sits on a tall stool and sings into the mic. Over the course of just over 4 minutes, the camera tracks forward slowly, eventually ending up with a tight shot of Perry still singing. Then the camera reverses slowly back to where it started. Perry walks out of the shot - end of video.
