Nacho Libre
Nacho Libre is a 2006 American-Mexican sports comedy family film written by Jared Hess, Jerusha Hess, and Mike White, and directed by Jared Hess. It stars Jack Black as Ignacio, a Catholic friar and secret lucha libre fan who moonlights as a luchador to earn money for the orphanage where he works. The film is loosely based on the story of Fray Tormenta ("Friar Storm", a.k.a. Rev. Sergio Gutiérrez Benítez), a real-life Mexican Catholic priest who had a 23-year career as a masked luchador to support the orphanage he directed. The film was produced by Paramount Pictures, Nickelodeon Movies, and Black & White Productions.

- The "Nachomobile" is a "customized" version of a pedal's tricycle commercialized in Mexico, which then gets an after-market upgrade by adding a scooter motorcycle without the front wheel and by adding wider tires.
- During filming Jack Black recorded a series of "confessionals" which were uploaded onto the Internet as video podcasts available from iTunes. They became one of the most popular podcasts in the world.
- Ramses is portrayed by Cesar Gonzalez, a real-life luchador best known as Silver King, a second-generation luchador who is the son of lucha libre legend Dr. Wagner. He is also the brother of fellow luchador Dr. Wagner Jr. and the uncle of the recently debuted Dr. Wagner III.
- "Chancho" is Mexican slang for pig, Esqueleto translates as skeleton.
- While filming a wrestling scene, Jack Black jumped from the ring and struck his head on a chair. This caused a gash above his right eye which needed stitches.
