Monsters vs. Aliens
Monsters vs. Aliens is a 2009 American animated science fiction action comedy film produced by DreamWorks Animation and distributed by Paramount Pictures. The film was directed by Conrad Vernon and Rob Letterman from a screenplay written by Letterman, Maya Forbes, Wallace Wolodarsky, and the writing team of Jonathan Aibel and Glenn Berger based on a story by Vernon and Letterman. Featuring the voices of Reese Witherspoon, Seth Rogen, Hugh Laurie, Will Arnett, Kiefer Sutherland, Rainn Wilson, Paul Rudd, and Stephen Colbert, the film involves a group of misfit monsters hired by the United States Armed Forces to stop the invasion of an extraterrestrial villain and save the world in exchange for freedom.

B.O.B.: Oh, I didn't mean to scare you. I'll just go. I feel so stupid.
- After Susan saves B.O.B., Link, and Dr. Cockroach from being crushed on Gallaxhar's ship, Dr. Cockroach says "By Hawking's chair." This is a reference to Stephen Hawking, renowned academic who is bound to a motorized wheelchair due to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease or ALS.
- In the scene during the closing credits, the President asks the audience if anyone wants to freeze his head. Stephen Colbert, who provided the voice of the President, gives detailed outlines on how to unfreeze his head in an apocalyptic future in his book, 'I Am America and So Can You'.
- The two technicians who first discover the incoming meteor call the control center and issue a "Code Nimoy" alert, an homage to Leonard Nimoy as Mr. Spock.
- When Gallaxhar says "UUUH! Fire phasoid cannon!" you can see the contrail left behind by the flying tennis rackets going past his eyes. The filmmakers also confirmed that.
- The two technicians who first discover Gallaxhar's ship are named Ben and Jerry, like the ice cream brand.
