He is known for starring in The Prince Who Turns into a Frog, which held the highest single episode average rating of 6.99 for a Taiwanese drama from 2005 to 2008, and for being the winner of Best Host in Educational Programme at the 39th Golden Bell Awards.

In high school, he participated in the "Rough Guy Selection" segment of the TV show "Guess Guess Guess," where he was discovered by a talent scout. In 2002, he officially debuted as the host of "Adventure King".
In 2004, he joined the boy band 183 Club and made his acting debut in the SETTV drama "The Prince Who Turns into a Frog."
On February 15, 2012, he enlisted in the army and joined the Army 2131 Regiment, undergoing basic training at the Kinmen Camp in Yilan. On March 26, 2012, he joined the Army Honor Guard, undergoing training at the Taipei Dazhi Armored Military Police Camp for four months. On July 23, he successfully passed the training assessment and officially became a member of the Army Honor Guard. He completed his military service and was discharged on January 15, 2013, ending his 11-month military career.
