Miami Vice
Miami Vice is a 2006 action crime film written, directed, and co-produced by Michael Mann. An adaptation of the 1980s television series of the same name, of which Mann was an executive producer, it stars Colin Farrell as James "Sonny" Crockett and Jamie Foxx as Ricardo "Rico" Tubbs, MDPD detectives who go undercover to fight drug trafficking operations. The ensemble supporting cast includes Gong Li, Naomie Harris, Barry Shabaka Henley, John Ortiz, Luis Tosar, Ciarán Hinds, Elizabeth Rodriguez, John Hawkes, Justin Theroux, Isaach De Bankolé, Eddie Marsan, and Tom Towles.

- The watches, which Jamie Foxx (Ricardo Tubbs) wears, are a "Portuguese Chrono-Automatic" and an "Aquatimer Split Minute Chronograph" from the swiss watch manufacturer IWC (International Watch Company).
- The twin engine pusher/puller airplane is an Adam Aircraft A500.
- Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt and Matthew McConaughey were all considered for the role of Det. Sonny Crockett.
- Shortly before filming, Jamie Foxx won the Oscar for Ray (2004). Because of this, he demanded a raise in his salary which originally was lower than Colin Farrell's. Farrell's salary was cut.
- 'Sonny Crockett's Ferrari F430 is briefly shown with blue flames coming out of its exhaust tips. This is not a special effect. The F430 can produce blue exhaust flames under full throttle.
