In 2011, the public learned, by accident, about the romantic relationship between Maja Salvador and Matteo Guidicelli. This was when Matteo got into an altercation with fellow Star Magic talent Coco Martin in that year's Star Magic Ball.

They reportedly fought because of Maja who, unknown to most, was already Matteo's girlfriend. Things were patched between the two Kapamilya stars up through the intervention of Star Magic big boss Johnny Manahan.

Nearly a year after the incident, Maja admitted on Kris TV that ending the relationship with Matteo was a mutual decision. The reason, she said, was: "Kasi may mga priorities kaming dapat unahin."

PEP sources say, however, that the real reason is Matteo's parents' disapproval of the relationship. It is said that the rich Guidicelli family has not been able to accept the working-class Maja, who is a member of the huge Salvador clan from entertainment.

Right now, both Kapamilya stars are busy with their respective teleseryes. Maja is working in Ina, Kapatid, Anak, while Matteo is serious about Precious Heart Romances Presents: Paraiso. The young actor also gives a great deal of his time to triathlon training.
