London Fields
London Fields is a 2018 mystery thriller film directed by Mathew Cullen with a screenplay by Roberta Hanley and Martin Amis, based on the 1989 novel of the same name by Amis. The film stars Billy Bob Thornton as Samson Young, a terminally ill writer who has suffered from writer's block for 20 years. The cast also includes Amber Heard, Jim Sturgess, Theo James, Jason Isaacs, Cara Delevingne, Obi Abili, and Jaimie Alexander.

- Johnny Depp was told by Martin Amis that for research he should spend time with professional darts player Bobby George. He wouldn't need to spend time with any other player - Bobby is the epitome of British darts. Bobby told him that every day was like Christmas Day to him - a reference to how great his life was and the happiness that his success as a darts player had brought. Johnny asked if he could use that line in the film : "am I going to win? Of course I'm going to win. It's Christmas every day for me, innit"
- Director Mathew Cullen filed a lawsuit against the producers of this film in September 2015, claiming that they engaged in "fraudulent efforts" to revise the movie without his knowledge. The lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles Superior Court against producers Chris Hanley and Jordan Gertner, as well as Muse Productions and Nicola Six Ltd. In addition to damages, it seeks a declaration that the producers have no right to use Cullen's name to promote the movie without his consent. According to the lawsuit, the producers interjected elements into the movie that "include incendiary imagery evoking 9/11 jumpers edited against pornography, as well as juxtaposing the holiest city in Islam against mind control. No crew or cast member signed up for this, nor did plaintiffs." The lawsuit contends that none of the "revisionary elements" appear in the script. The lawsuit claims that producers breached their agreement by refusing to pay him full compensation, refusing to provide three cuts and three public screenings of the movie, and refusing to produce the movie as a DGA film. It also cites "failure to provide funding needed to properly produce the film." Cullen claims that Hanley gave him assurances that he "would have freedom to make the film without interference from them."
