Lola Bute (born Lady Lola Affrica Crichton-Stuart on June 23, 1999) is an English mental health activist and philanthropist, model and socialite.
Lola is the youngest daughter of former Formula One driver John Colum Crichton-Stuart, 7th Marquess of Bute, Earl of Dumfries and his second wife, fashion designer Serena née Wendell.
Lola has two older half siblings from her mother's side, businessman Joshua De Lisser and actress Jasmine "Jazzy" De Lisser; and three older half siblings from her father's side, John Bryson Crichton-Stuart, 8th Marquess of Bute, and Lady Cathleen and Lady Caroline Crichton-Stuart.
She is of Welsh and Spanish descent from her mother's side, and of Scottish descent from her father's side.
Lola lived in Switzerland for a while, and studied at Bedales school before she went to New York to study fashion design at Parsons.
Following the suicide of her boyfriend Kai Schachter, the son of New York art dealer Kenny Schachter and artist Ilona Rich, on March 2019 and the accidental fatal overdose of her best friend Ila Scheckter, daughter of former F1 champion Jody Scheckter, on October of the same year, Bute founded charity Eternity in 2020 to bring attention to suicide, addiction and mental health which she said helped her to 'heal and cope with grief in a healthy way'.
The same year she founded her Eternity charity, on 2020, she penned some poems and edited the book "Eternity: Loss & Hope", to raise awareness about suicide, addiction and mental health.
Bute had been eight months sober when her father passed away on April 2022 - having sought help for 'unhealthy coping mechanisms' following the recent deaths of her boyfriend and close friend Ila.
She had 'put all her energy' into a ball to raise awareness and money for mental health charities that took place at Alva Coachworks on May 5, 2022 in London, England. The Eternity Charity Fundraiser hosted by Lola Bute supported the charities Action On Addiction, James' Place, Place2Be and Grow.
