Lady Bird 2017 Movie - This coming-of-age tale set in 2002 Sacramento centers on Christine McPherson (Saoirse Ronan), an eccentric teenager who prefers to go by the name "Lady Bird." Over the course of her senior year of high school, Lady Bird deals with the pangs of first love and clashes with her mother (Laurie Metcalf) over her plans for the future. Written and directed by Greta Gerwig, who loosely based the story on her own life. Tracy Letts, Timothee Chalamet, and Lucas Hedges co-star.

Christine 'Lady Bird' McPherson: I'm friends with Jenna and she's always talking about how great your band is so I wanted to check it out.
Kyle Scheible: Yeah, Jenna's hella tight.
Christine 'Lady Bird' McPherson: Yeah.

Christine 'Lady Bird' McPherson: Sure, see you at the Deuce.
Miguel McPherson: Hey, I'm not paying you to flirt.
Christine 'Lady Bird' McPherson: (exhales) I wasn't flirting.

- In the film, Lady Bird applies to Columbia University and later learns she was not accepted. Timothèe Chalamet who plays Kyle in the film actually went to Columbia University for one year before deciding to drop out and focus on acting.
- 28/11/17 Lady Bird has became Rotten Tomatoes best reviewed film of all time, unseating Toy Story 2 as Lady Bird is titled 100% fresh.
- Saoirse and Greta first met at the Toronto Film Festival in 2015 when Saoirse was promoting Brooklyn (2015) and Greta Maggie's Plan (2015). Saoirse had already read Greta's script and instantly connected with the titular character, so when both ladies discussed the script at length in Saoirse's hotel room and she read the key part aloud, Greta knew that she'd found her "Ladybird."
- The fact that Christine (Saoirse Ronan) and best friend Julie (Beanie Feldstein) wore the same color nail varnish, was pure coincidence. And since there was a considerable degree of improvisational latitude allowed for character development on-set, a decision was made to have them wear the same varnish for the entire film.
- The film takes place from 2002 to 2003.
