Josiah Bell, a Canadian born singer/songwriter, began his professional producing and writing career at the age of 15, when he wrote and produced 6 songs for Grammy-nominated Gospel legend Vickie Winans' album Bringing It All Together out of his parent's house. Josiah went on to work with gospel act Smokie Norful, producing and co-writing his Grammy-winning Nothing Without You album and hit single Can't Nobody. Smokie’s CD went Gold and won a Grammy for Gospel Album of the Year. After expanding his production to such acts as CeCe Winans, Michelle Williams, Krystal Meyers and Toby Mac, Josiah moved to Nashville, Tennessee where he met Robert Marvin and formed a writing/producing partnership, establishing their "DoubleDutch" production company which lasted until 2009. Among their many collaborations was Mat Kearney's lead single Closer To Love off his City of Black & White album in which Bell co-wrote and produced.

Under the DoubleDutch umbrella, Bell produced Matt Redman's Beautiful News which they recorded at Abbey Road studios

In 2007 Bell released his first solo EP, the self-produced "Polaroid". He began touring and built an underground following of loyal fans, gaining the attention of industry insiders and was spotlighted as one of the artists to watch at BMI's “Who’s Next: Writers on the Rise". In 2009, Josiah signed a publishing deal with Sony/ATV. Josiah was asked to perform and help pay tribute to Will Smith when the Simon Wiesenthal Center honored the actor at its National Tribute Dinner in Los Angeles. After hearing him perform his song, "Change in the Weather", at the event, Jada Pinkett-Smith personally requested that his song be featured on the season finale of her TNT TV show Hawthorne.

Bell collaborated with folk, pop music duo Johnnyswim for their 2013 EP "Heart Beats" and again in 2014 for their debut album "Diamonds". Composing, co-writing and producing songs "Don't Let it Get You Down", "Closer", "Live While We're Young", "Bonsoir", "You and I", "Make" and "Don't Keep Heaven Busy".

Josiah continued to express his musical range by writing and producing songs for a variety of artists including David Ryan Harris, Michael Bolton's "Need You To Fall" from his One World One Love, Nick Cannon's "So Turned Up", and Jaden Smith, collaborating, producing and writing several songs for Jaden's various mixtapes, The Cool Cafe and "The Cool Cafe Vol2" including the fan favorite "Chase the Sun" in which Josiah features on.

In 2014, he collaborated with Melissa Polinar for her "Calls and Echoes" EP, co-writing "Find You" and producing, co-writing and singing on their duet "Speak".

He co-wrote and produced the track "All that Matters" for singer Estelle (musician)'s latest album, True Romance (Estelle album). Chuck Arnold of Rolling Stone singled out the track, saying "Even better is "All That Matters" — a love letter to Dionne Warwick's Bacharach-David days that gives this album a fairy-tale ending."

In 2016, Josiah is currently scheduled to release his EP, which mirrors his journey from heartbreak to love.
