editMatthias Schoenaerts was director Jan Verheyen's first choice to play Dieter in Alias (2002), but Schoenaerts's drama school refused to give him time off to star in the movie, so the part went to second choice Geert Hunaerts.
Geert and his girlfriend Fien D'Heu (daughter of actor Luk D'Heu) are expecting their first baby in November 2007.
