"Einige Tage im Leben des..." (1967-1976) "A few days in the life of..." German Documentary (2 Episodes per year)

A few days in the life of... was a 45-minute series of portraits that shed light on important personalities from politics, business and society. The series aired between 1967 and 1976 and offered a unique insight into the lives of prominent people.

The first episode focused on Franz Josef Strauss. The camera accompanied the then minister during his day-to-day work in the ministry, on election trips and at home with his family. Later, other personalities such as Willy Brandt, Hans-Dietrich Genscher, Kurt Georg Kiesinger, Rainer Barzel and Rudolf August Oetker were also portrayed.

The series allowed viewers to experience these outstanding individuals beyond public opinion and stereotypes. Many films were written by Matthias Walden, but Ralph Giordano and Renate Harpprecht also contributed episodes.

Unfortunately, the series is not currently available to stream, but it is interesting to remember this fascinating period documentary.
