Singin' in the Rain (1952) and childbirth were the two hardest things I ever had to do in my life.
  • Her footprints and handprints are preserved at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, California.
  • Debbie Reynolds died a day after the death of her daughter Carrie Fisher and according to Debbie’s son, she had said, “I want to be with Carrie” immediately prior to suffering the stroke that later took her life.
  • She was friends with Shirley Jones, Jane Powell, Hugh O’Brian, Shelley Winters, and Terry Moore.
  • In the 1995 made-for-television biographical film Liz: The Elizabeth Taylor Story, she is portrayed by Judith Jones.
  • It was Jack L. Warner, president of the Warner Bros. Studios, who gave her the stage name “Debbie”.
