  • Aaron Behr, who plays Vinnie Parson, also appears in the CSI: Miami episode Wolfe in Sheep's Clothing. Christopher Bello, who plays John Szabo, also appears in the CSI: Miami episode Caged.
  • When Danny and Det. Angell ask the luge racer Mercury why he ran when they presented their badges, his answer was that street racing is illegal. Emmanuelle Vaugier, who played Det. Angell, also starred in the street racing video game Need for Speed: Carbon (2006).
  • In the teaser, a man dressed as an astronaut is found dead. Before the cut to the title sequence, Mac Taylor (Gary Sinise) intones, "Houston, we have a problem." This is the famous misquote ("Houston, we've had a problem") spoken by CSM pilot Jack Swigert (Kevin Bacon) and mission commander Jim Lovell (Tom Hanks) in Ron Howard's Apollo 13 (1995). Sinise played grounded CSM pilot Ken Mattingly in that film.
