It’s safe to say that you’re going to take a lot of lumps in life. It’s unavoidable. But it’s all about how you deal with it. How you get through it. A lot of people define themselves by what happened to them, and you should never do that. You should only define yourself by how you want to be.
  • In the song "Eyeless", Corey repeats the chorus :"You can't see California without Marlon Brando's eyes". That line was taken from an incident when the band went to sign their record deal with Roadrunner in New York, Corey saw a homeless man on the sidewalk repeating. "You can't see California without Marlon Brando's eyes".
  • Before Slipknot wore identical coveralls, Corey Taylor wore a priest costume. This earned him the nickmane "Faith", which he still hates to this day.
  • Taylor was ranked number 86 in Hit Parader's Top 100 Metal Vocalists of All Time.
  • Taylor cites Mötley Crüe, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Nine Inch Nails, Dokken, Misfits, Black Sabbath, Black Flag, Slayer, Def Leppard, Sex Pistols, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Cheap Trick, Pearl Jam, The Damned, The Cramps, Journey (band), Bob Dylan and Korn as influences.
