• At one point in the film, Vakama gets attacked by a Muaka - a large tiger-like Rahi (Bionicle animal). The beast depicted here bears no resemblance to the Muaka toy, and is actually a barely modified CG model of Graalok, the Ash Bear from the first Bionicle movie. The Muaka in toy form has tracks instead of hind legs and an extremely long, expandable neck, while the Muaka that appears in the movie does not. Although it can be assumed that this particular Muaka has been mutated by the Visorak spiders' venom, and is thus a Muaka Hordika, not a "normal" Muaka tiger.
• Roodaka's name means "treachery" in Matoran (the main Bionicle language used during its first story). It earned this meaning for her treacherous and manipulative behavior that we see in the movie, and also for her being a double-agent for the Brotherhood of Makuta and the Dark Hunters (two of the most powerful Bionicle organizations).
• Discounting the cameos of Takanuva, Jaller and Hahli in the finishing shot, Rahaga Pouks is the only named character not to talk in the entire film. Two other Rahaga, Bomonga and Kualus, only have one line each.
• In a deleted scene of the movie, the Toa Hordika are discussing their bestial urges, and Matau asks Nokama (the female Toa) whether her urges involve him. Due to the slight sexual undertone, this scene got cut, but it's included in the movie novelization.
• Kualus' voice actor, who only says one word, is not credited.
