Morgan Webb: (after discussing the Naked Raiden segment of Metal Gear Solid 2) Welcome to my world, Sessler. Welcome to my *naked*, *cartwheeling* world.
Adam Sessler: Thanks for having me.
  • During the time after ZDTV was sold and became TechTV, there was a time when Adam Sessler was the lone host of the show and it was known then as Extended Play. When Morgan Webb joined Adam, the show's name was changed to X-Play. This show remains the only surviving show from TechTV/G4 merger.
  • When Sega stopped making game consoles and exclusively became a third party, the show aired a big Sega game montage medley. The medley featured some games never released in America, including the Genesis Sailor Moon side-scrolling beat 'em up types, as well as the Dragon Ball Z fighting game for the Genesis, Buu-Yu Retsuden.
  • In January 2004, the show began using some Disembodied Voice intros, submitted by fans via email and the TechTV message boards.
  • The "Drunk Girl" character who appears in various skits is played by Blair Butler, the head writer for the show.
  • In its earlier incarnations, the show was known as Gamespot TV and Extended Play. It took the X-Play moniker in 2003 and has used it ever since.
