Trance
Trance is a 2013 psychological thriller film directed by Danny Boyle with a screenplay by Joe Ahearne and John Hodge from a story by Ahearne. It stars James McAvoy, Vincent Cassel and Rosario Dawson. The world premiere of the film was held in London on 19 March 2013.

- Right before the climactic shootout, James McAvoy hits Vincent Cassel in the head with a fire extinguisher. This is a reference to the infamous scene in Vincent Cassel's film Irreversible (2002) where a man's head was bashed with a fire extinguisher.
- Scarlett Johansson, Mélanie Thierry, Eva Green and Zoe Saldana were considered for the role that went to Rosario Dawson.
- The very last song on the soundtrack and the very last song played at the end of the credits is called "Sandman (I'll Be There)", featuring Rosario Dawson (who played Elizabeth Lamb) at the vocals. Furthermore, in the last few seconds of the song, as the vocals become increasingly muffled, the distinct sound of a finger tapping on glass can be heard. This sound is nearly identical to the sound that Simon made during the film when he first became jealous and bipolar while watching Elizabeth send a text on her phone and tapped on the window for her to come back.
- Michael Fassbender was cast as Franck but dropped out due to scheduling conflicts. Colin Firth was briefly considered for the part before Vincent Cassel was cast.
