Biohazard 5
Resident Evil 5 is a 2009 third-person shooter video game developed and published by Capcom. It is a major installment in the Resident Evil series, and was announced in 2005—the same year its predecessor Resident Evil 4 was released. Resident Evil 5 was released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles in March 2009 and for Windows in September 2009. It was re-released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in June 2016. The plot involves an investigation of a terrorist threat by Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance agents Chris Redfield and Sheva Alomar in Kijuju, a fictional region of West Africa. Chris learns that he must confront his past in the form of an old enemy, Albert Wesker, and his former partner, Jill Valentine.

- The large monster in "Lost In Nightmare" scenario that has reappears bears a resemblance to the mutated version of Steve Burnside from Resident Evil CODE: Veronica and fights similarly to an Executioner Majini hence its axe swing.
- The virus responsible for the deaths and mutations of the locals is Type 2 Plagas while 3 were killed by Uroboros. Las Plagas was in Resident Evil 4 and the T-Virus and G-Virus with the Umbrella Resident Evils.
- This is the only Resident Evil game where you can use a GPS map during game-play.
- Actress Eva La Dare who voiced Sheva Alomar in this game started in a film called Evil Resident (2002) and the character she portrayed was Eman Valentine completely unrelated to the games. Years later by coincidence she was hired for the role of Sheva Alomar which has a character named Jill Valentine.
- This is the first main Resident Evil (1996) video game series where the subtitles are enabled during cut-scenes. All the previous main Resident Evil (1996) series had very limited amount of subtitles.
