Ravi Mohan (born 10 September 1980), better known by his former stage name Jayam Ravi, is an Indian actor who works in Tamil cinema. The son of veteran film editor A. Mohan, Ravi made his lead acting debut in Jayam (2003), the success of which prompted the title to become a prefix to his stage name until 2025. He has won one Tamil Nadu State Film Award and one Filmfare Award South and three SIIMA Awards respectively.

  • In 2018, Jayam Ravi appeared as S. Subash in the Tamil-language action thriller film Adanga Maru. This role won him the SIIMA Award for “Best Actor (Critics)” while he was also nominated for a Filmfare Award South in the “Best Actor – Tamil” category.
  • Alongside Arvind Swamy and Nayanthara, Jayam Ravi co-starred as Mithran IPS (an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), Chennai City who is Mahima’s love interest) in the 2015 Tamil-language action thriller film Thani Oruvan. This role won Jayam several accolades including the Filmfare Award for “Best Actor (Critics) – South”, Edison Award for “Best Actor”, and SIIMA Award for “Best Actor (Critics)”.
  • In 2013, he was cast in a dual role as Aadhi Shanmugam and Bhagavan Bhai in the Tamil-language action film Ameerin Aadhi-Bhagavan.
