Frailty
Frailty is a 2001 American psychological horror film directed by and starring Bill Paxton, and co-starring Matthew McConaughey and Powers Boothe. It marks Paxton's directorial debut. The plot focuses on the strange relationship between two young brothers and their father, who believes that he has been commanded by God to kill demons disguised as people. Released on April 12, 2002, the film received generally positive reviews from critics and grossed $17 million.

- The film is set in Texas and has three Texas-born actors as top-billed stars: Bill Paxton, Matthew McConaughey, and Powers Boothe.
- Bill Paxton mentions in the director commentary at 54:19 "We couldn't really dig it (the hole) that deep .. unless it's reinforced, so actually in this shot (54:31) I'm on my knees and kind of making it look like I'm standing up to make the hole look deeper and of course there's a little mound there (at the lip of the hole)."
- At the title credit (01:12) in the writer commentary, Brent Hanley says "Frailty to me was always about the frailty of perception, the frailty of morality, the frailty of right and wrong." At 02:16 he adds "I liked the idea of an abstract title."
- Bill Paxton planned to have the demons' crimes shown when Dad first touched them. At James Cameron's suggestion, he changed this so the information is a surprise that comes at the end.
- Jeremy Sumpter, who was cast as younger brother Adam, originally auditioned for the role of Fenton.
