Kadaj: (to Cloud) Brother! I'm with her at last.
Cloud: So what's gonna happen now?
Kadaj: Mother's going to tell me.
Cloud: I guess a remnant wouldn't really know.
Kadaj: So what if Im a puppet...?
(powers up the materia in his arm)
Kadaj: Once upon a time...
(gets ready to attack)
Kadaj: ...you were too!
  • The phone used by Cloud is a Panasonic P900iV only sold in Japan. It comes in three colors, and the black one is called "Cloud Black" after the character's name.
  • The opening scene of the movie is the closing scene of the original video game.
  • Cloud uses five noticeable limit breaks from the original video game. He uses Blade Beam when he is fighting Loz and Yazoo at the Forgotten City. Then he uses Braver when he is fighting Bahamut Sin. He uses Climhazzard to defeat Bahamut Sin. He uses Omnislash to defeat Sephiroth, which is also the attack he uses to defeat Sephiroth in the game. The fifth technique he uses is Finishing Touch, which is used on Kadaj.
  • In 'Advent Children Complete', there is a scene where Sephiroth impales Cloud on his katana; a reference to the famous scene in the game.
  • The planet in the film (and the series of games) is never referred to by name.
