Agent Jennifer Marsh: You forming a task force? Detective Eric Box: Not yet. Agent Jennifer Marsh: Not yet? How much more do you need? Richard Brooks: What we have so far is one dead cat and a man who may or may not be in danger. Agent Jennifer Marsh: That's today. You think this is it? It's just the beginning!
  • The site used by the killer (www.killwithme.com) actually exists. It's owned by the movie studio and it's used to promote the movie. In it, users are taken to a replica of the FBI computer used by the character Jennifer Marsh. Her desktop gets hacked by the killer who provides the visitor with four test he/she must complete to deactivate his site.
  • Colin Hanks' serial-dater character mentions Peggy the secretary as an upcoming date. This is a nod to Hanks' appearance on "Mad Men" (2007) - Hanks plays Father John Gill, a priest who becomes acquainted with Peggy the secretary (played by Elisabeth Moss).
  • When Jennifer finds the camera mounted on the car, you can see a brief clip from the blog section of killwithme.com and one of the comments, made by "clownz23", says she "holds a gun like a cop only hotter".
  • Some rifles used in the movie are airsoft replicas that were purchased at a local airsoft retail store.
  • Marilyn Deutsch, Pete Ferryman, David Freitas, Jim Hyde, Kimberly Maus, and Kerry Tomlinson are actual newscasters from Portland, Oregon's KPTV Fox 12, and played themselves in the movie.
