Udta Punjab
Udta Punjab (lit. Punjab on a high) is a 2016 Indian black comedy crime film co-written and directed by Abhishek Chaubey. It is loosely based on and revolves around the drug abuse by the youth population in the Indian state of Punjab and the various conspiracies surrounding it. Produced by Shobha Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor under their banner Balaji Motion Pictures, in association with Anurag Kashyap's production house Phantom Films, it features an ensemble cast consisting of Shahid Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor and Diljit Dosanjh.

- Two days prior to it's release a copy of the film that was submitted to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC, popularly referred to as the Censor Board) found its way on several torrent sites. However, soon the download links were "removed due to a copyright complaint".
- This movie marks the Bollywood debut of Punjabi film actor & singer Diljit Dosanjh.
- Ayushman Khurana and Emraan Hashmi were in talks for Diljit's role before he accepted
- The film ran into trouble with the Central Board of Film Certification for it's graphic depiction of drug abuse and explicit language. The film initially received 13 cuts, which amount to a total of 89 deletions, from the Revising committee of the Central Board of Film Certification. The producers (Phantom Films) sought the help of Mumbai High Court to sort out the issue and eventually got the film cleared with only one cut and with an Adult rating.
