The Slammin' Salmon
The Slammin' Salmon is a 2009 comedy film by Broken Lizard. It is about the owner of a restaurant who holds a contest to see which one of his waiters can earn the most money in a single night. The winner receives $10,000, and the loser receives a "beat down" by the owner, Cleon Salmon, a former heavyweight boxer (played by Michael Clarke Duncan). Kevin Heffernan directed the film, his first time for a Broken Lizard film.

- Lance Henriksen plays a television producer named Dick Lobo; this character is supposedly based on Law & Order (1990) creator Dick Wolf. Lobo means wolf in Spanish.
- Lance Henriksen compares the potential resurrection of Conner's character on CFI: Hotlanta to the X-Files. Henriksen had a major role as ex-FBI agent Frank Black on the X-Files as well as its sister series Millenium.

- The disease the Lone Diner says he is dying of, Schistosomiasis, is a parasitic "flatworm" infection carried by freshwater snails in Africa. Schistosomiasis is one of the most common parasitic disease in primitive areas. Schistosomiasis is almost never directly fatal, but a chronic years-long infection can cause organ damage, several cancers, and in children can cause developmental problems. Schistosomiasis rather easily cured with Praziquantel.
- The movie was made during the Writer's Strike of 2007. It was allowed to be filmed since the writers were not in the Writer's Guild.
