The Man from U.N.C.L.E. is a 2015 spy film directed by Guy Ritchie and written by Ritchie and Lionel Wigram. It is based on the 1964 MGM television series of the same name, which was created by Norman Felton and Sam Rolfe. The film stars Henry Cavill, Armie Hammer, Alicia Vikander, Elizabeth Debicki, Jared Harris, and Hugh Grant. The film was produced by RatPac-Dune Entertainment, and Davis Entertainment, while Turner Entertainment Co., the original TV series current holder, was also involved.

- The speech JFK is seen on TV giving is probably his speech at American University's Spring Commencement, delivered on June 10, 1963 (it contains the phrase, "Our commitment to defend Western Europe and West Berlin for example, stands undiminished...").
- Is based on the show of the same name, which ran for five years (1964-1968).
- When the large group of agents gets up and leaves the Cafe Gustav, a Berliner jelly doughnut is left on one of the tables. This might be a reference to the "Ich bin ein Berliner" speech given by JFK in Berlin on June 26, 1963 - it's been argued that the translation of what Kennedy said is, "I am a jelly doughnut."
- Kuryakin wears a bow tie in one scene and Solo says he looks bad with it. David McCallum, who played Kuryakin in The Man from U.N.C.L.E. (1964) and plays Ducky on NCIS (2003), wears bow ties (and looks good in them).
- The only principal cast members to use their natural accents in the film were 'Sylvester Groth' and 'Hugh Grant'.
