The Clone
O Clone (English: The Clone) is a Brazilian telenovela created by Glória Perez and directed by Jayme Monjardim. Produced and aired by Rede Globo, it was aired from 1 October 2001 to 15 June 2002, with 221 episodes. It also was an international success, selling in more than 90 countries.

- For the first episodes, American make-up artist and Academy Award winner Lynn Barber worked one some of the actors to make their characters look younger.
- Débora Falabella suffered from meningitis at one point, and was replaced by her sister, Cynthia Falabella.
- Differently from the Morocco, the cast and crew did not visit Egypt and all the scenes set there were shot using computer graphics.
- Myrian Rios' last acting role before leaving her career as an actress.
- Since "The Clone" premiered some weeks after 9/11, Rede Globo feared that a series depicting Muslim life and characters would receive a negative feedback from the audience. However, this aspects actually helped the show to became a hit.
