Bill Spencer: I am not unaware of your charm and your repulation. Ridge: Oh, repulation? Bill Spencer: How you use women. How you love them, and leave them. Ridge: Now where did you hear that? Bill Spencer: I know that my daughter can quite easily become infatuated with you, and just as easily end up as one of your discarded conquests. But Caroline is my only daughter, my only child and I desperatley want for her happiness. And I would do everything in power to see to it that she does not get hurt.
  • Art imitating life: The Forrester Mansion as seen on TV was modeled after the real life mansion of series creators William J. Bell and Lee Phillip Bell (once owned by Howard Hughes) whereas the estate of their son Bradley Bell served as the model for the house of Brooke Logan. The backdrop shots of two other sets belong to houses owned by Bell dynasty, though the belonging sets used on the show share no similarities with reality: The house of William J. Bell Jr. and his wife `Maria Arena Bell` serves as the Bell Air Mansion of Ridge and Taylor Forrester, actress Lauralee Bell calls the Marone Mansion home in real life.
  • Despite taking place in the same soap opera universe several former stars of "The Young and The Restless"(1973) joined the show in completely different roles (in order of appearance): John McCook (Lance on Y&R, Eric on B&B), Lauren Koslow (Lindsey on Y&R, Margo on B&B), Jim Storm (Neil on Y&R, Bill Sr. on B&B), Darlene Conley (Rose on Y&R, Sally on B&B), Barbara Crampton (Leanna on Y&R, Maggie on B&B), Andrea Evans (Patty on Y&R, Tawny on B&B), Rick Hearst (Matt on Y&R, Whip on B&B), Jennifer Gareis (Grace on Y&R, Donna on B&B), Heather Tom (Victoria on Y&R, Katie on B&B), Don Diamont (Brad on Y&R, Bill Jr. on B&B).
  • Between 2003 and 2005 the actress` portraying Phoebe and Steffy were changed three times. Jordan Mella and Chandler Mella assumed the roles from Brynne and Cameryn McNabb. Jordan & Chandler held the role for only a few episodes before they were replaced by Kylie Tyndall and Keaton Tyndall. Kylie and Keaton went on to hold the role for over a year before the characters were aged and replaced by, Alex Hoover and Addison Hoover who became the first twins to contract the role. After 6 months and a handful of episodes Alex and Addison were dropped to recurring status and later replaced by Mackenzie Mauzy resulting in the disappearance of one twin.
  • Although they have remained with the show since the beginning the roles of Katherine Kelly Lang and Ronn Moss have been recast for short periods during this time. Brooke Logan who was played by Catherine Hickland in 1987 as a sick leave replacement and Sandra Ferguson in 1997 as a maternity leave replacement whereas Lane Davies subbed in as Ridge Forrester in 1992.
  • Several actors, appearing on "Dallas"(1978), later played characters on the show: Susan Flannery (Leslie Stewart on "Dallas"(1978)/Stephanie Forrester on "The Bold and The Beautiful"(1987), Charles Grant (David Shulton/Grant Chambers) Lesley-Anne Down (Stephanie Rodgers/Jacqueline Payne), Linda Gray (Sue Ellen Ewing/Priscilla Kelly) and Patrick Duffy (Bobby Ewing/Stephen Logan Sr.).
