Steve Jobs is a 2015 biographical drama film directed by Danny Boyle and written by Aaron Sorkin. A British-American co-production, it was adapted from the 2011 biography by Walter Isaacson and interviews conducted by Sorkin. The film covers 14 years (1984–1998) in the life of Apple Inc. co-founder Steve Jobs, specifically ahead of three press conferences he gave during that time. Jobs is portrayed by Michael Fassbender, with Kate Winslet as Joanna Hoffman and Seth Rogen, Katherine Waterston, Michael Stuhlbarg, and Jeff Daniels in supporting roles.

Steve Jobs: Everyone, everyone, everyone. Everyone is waiting for the mac.
  • Both Jobs (2013) and _St. Vincent (2014)_ share the same Bob Dylan song, Shelter From the Storm, during final credits.
  • Aaron Sorkin revealed before the film's official release that the it would consist of three, 30-minute scenes spreading across sixteen years of the life of Steve Jobs. All of the scenes will dramatize backstage events before three major product launches (the Macintosh in 1984, NeXT in 1988, and the iMac in 1998). These scenes will take place in real time at "two auditoriums, a restaurant and a garage," with a few flashbacks depicting key moments of Jobs' life inserted throughout the story.
  • Screenwriter Aaron Sorkin has said that he had never actually met Steve Jobs, but that he had only ever spoken to him on the phone three times.
  • In the final act when Steve Jobs is revising his speaker notes, the table he leans on has a black rectangular outline, white back light and coloured, square notes - closely resembling the layout of the iPhone.
  • The film takes place in 1984, 1988 and 1998.
