SOPHIE HART is a freelance photographer based in Los Angeles.

Inspired by mid-century design and early cinema, each subject inhabits a memorable and theatrical world of their own. Shooting on medium format and digital, she can also provide full creative direction and set design.

1. She's a Photographer:

Hart recently shot a Lucy Boynton cover story for New York magazine. Her work has also appeared in Ladygunn and Sorbet — and she shot the cover photographer for Harding's book.

2. She's Also a Set Designer:

Many of her photo shoots, including the Boynton story, feature her own set design as well.

3. She Has a Couple of Acting Credits:

Back in 2016, she had a small role as "Goth Girl" in an episode of Modern Family.

4. She Went to Carnegie Mellon University:

Hart attended the the Pittsburgh school before moving to Los Angeles. Harding went there as well, graduating with a BFA.

In a MyDomaine feature on the couple's home, Harding credited his wife with some of the more unique design elements. “There’s this one photo of this pink French salon with checkered floors," he explained. "She came to me and said, ‘I want to do this with the downstairs.’ And I think I laughed first. But then she made it work.”
