Something's Gotta Give is a 2003 American romantic comedy film written, produced and directed by Nancy Meyers. It stars Jack Nicholson and Diane Keaton as a successful 60-something and 50-something, who find love for each other in later life, despite being complete opposites. Keanu Reeves and Amanda Peet co-star, with Frances McDormand, Paul Michael Glaser, Jon Favreau, and KaDee Strickland playing key supporting roles.

  • When instant messaging Erica (Diane Keaton), Harry's (Jack Nicholson) screenname is "HARRY37". Jack Nicholson was born in 1937.
  • In the movie Jack Nicholson plays a notorious bachelor, who always: "escaped the noose", while Diane Keaton plays a divorcĂ©e. In real life it's the other way round. Jack Nicholson is divorced while Diane Keaton never married.
  • DVD includes a deleted scene where Harry sings "La Vie En Rose" for Erica in a karaoke bar. Part of this scene (Harry and Erica dancing) was in one of the trailers. Jack Nicholson sings the same song during the end credits.
  • Nancy Meyers wrote the roles of Erica and Harry specifically for Diane Keaton and Jack Nicholson.
  • The first trailer included footage of Harry and a gorgeous woman walking through a restaurant comparing his life with those sitting there.
