Save me is a program that, although it differs from other formats, reminds of past programs such as Here is Tomato , Tombola , At your side , TNT , Pink sauce or Martian Chronicles . In it, mainly, the actuality of the world of the heart and the popular characters of the country are commented, inviting them to go to the program to comment on it. Sometimes, this causes that, if at any time there is a great discussion and one of the members leaves the set, the program pauses the content scale to focus directly on a camera chasing the collaborator, showing different places of the Fuencarral building, such as bathrooms, dressing rooms, hallways or newsrooms.

In short, the news of the heart is alternating with different special sections that have been appearing throughout the history of the program. In addition, from time to time, a musical performance is presented on set or the album of a guest artist is promoted (this happens in the last seconds of broadcast, while the presenters say goodbye to the program).

In the first years of the format, the collaborators were limited to comment on the news of the pink press ( gossip ). However, as the program evolved, the private life of the collaborators, as well as the relationships between them (discussions, jokes, friendships) has been gaining more and more space 151 the relations of Belén Esteban and the robbery of his home; the separation of Rosa Benito; Karmele Marchante's debts , etc. Every evening we comment on any details that occur in the daily life of our employees. In addition, the program also draws on the events of other reality shows in the chain such as Survivors or Big Brother VIP. 152

In June 2012 , with the change in the contents and, in general, in the program format, three new sections were created. In the first case, a talk show called La Parada or Parada Sálvame , in which anonymous guests appeared on set to showcase their talent. 153 On the other hand, the program recovered the Lady Spain format and broadcast it within it. 154 Both spaces were presented by Paz Padilla or Jorge Javier Vázquez with Dani Santos, former Big Brother 12 + 1 contestant . Also, the program issued a section called Originsin which the collaborators visited the places where they were born and enjoyed their childhood, and on Fridays another one was emitted that received the name of Stay with me , in which they were looking for a guest partner. These spaces lasted just 6 months.

On the other hand, since October of 2019 , the last minutes of the program are occupied by the contest Flip . In this section, presented by Christian Gálvez , two contestants face a series of general culture questions to get the money accumulated in the boat.

Save me has had many sections throughout its history. Some of these have been, among others, The spectator's club , Diario Che , Lydia who dances , Bethlehem on board , Alba balls or Battlefields .
